      《合金裝備》系列已經很久沒有新作推出了，但是由于該IP的傳奇和受歡迎程度，這一系列仍在繼續前行。實際上，科樂美近期公布，過去三個季度中，整個系列已售出相當不錯的數量。
      截至3月31日，《合金裝備》系列在全球所有平臺上總共銷售了5980萬份，包括所有主線游戲和系列的所有衍生作品。截至去年年底，該系列的總銷售量為5950萬份，因此自那以后，游戲銷量又新增了不少。
      有趣的是，如果傳聞是真的，那么《合金裝備》系列將會迎來期待已久的回歸。據傳聞，由Virtuos開發的《合金裝備3》重制版將會在5月24日即將舉行的PlayStation Showcase上宣布。據稱，這款游戲的發售時間定在2024年。
